Eligibility for Admission Requirements

Levels of Training

Level 1: Prayer Partner Team
Level 2: Prayer Warrior Team
Level 3: Spiritual Warfare First Responder
Level 4: On-site Prayer Team
Level 5: Advanced Training for Counselors, Law Enforcement, & Others
Level 6: Intake and Assessment Counsellor
Level 7: Field Investigator
Level 8: Deliverance Counsellor

Applicants for Admission to the Training Program of the St. Padre Pio Center for Deliverance Counseling (SPCDC) must meet the following minimum requirements:

Graduation Age Requirements:
(one may begin the program before the ages listed below, but must be at least the ages listed to graduate)

Level 1 — 19
Level 2 — 21
Level 3 — 21
Level 4 — 21
Level 5 — (no age specified, but must be a professional as defined below)
Level 6 — 25
Level 7 — 28
Level 8 — 33

Primary Requirements

For Level 1 (Prayer Partner Team) and Level 3 (Spiritual Warrior First Responder) students must be practicing and devout Christians who have been validly baptized (with water and the in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and who affirm in faith, at a minimum, the Apostles Creed or its equivalent.

For Level 5 (Specialized Training for Counselors, Law Enforcement, and Other Professionals) students must have counseling, law enforcement, or other professional credentials and also have a specific need, due to their job, to learn this information.

All other levels, (Level 2, 4, 6, 7, 8), the following minimum requirements apply:

  1. Be validly baptized, confirmed in the Catholic Church, and in good standing;

  2. Must have lived as a Catholic in good standing for at least five (5) years;

  3. Must be willing to affirm Fidelity and Loyalty to the authentic teaching authority of the Catholic Church, as well as to the protocols and code of ethics of the SPCDC;

  4. Be striving to live and walk the Christ-life in the fullness and fellowship of the Spirit and be willing to be taught and lead by the Holy Spirit;

  5. Have a strong and mature faith and devotional life;

  6. Be of strong character not easily spooked or overly sensitive or emotional remembering that God will give us the grace we need to do the job if we are truly called to a spiritual warfare apostolate;

  7. Be a person of reason willing to receive training in logic and critical thinking;

  8. Be willing to commit to the training process and curricula.

Additional Requirements for Levels 6, 7, and 8:

  1. Have good observational skills;

  2. Have good listening skills;

  3. Have good oral communication skills;

  4. Have good and empathic rapport with clients;

  5. Have an ability to think logically;

  6. Have an ability to articulate observations cogently;

  7. Have an ability to organize one's thoughts to write summaries and reports.

The student should have at least rudimentary abilities for the skills mentioned above. Further development of these skills is provided during the course of training.
