The Times, They Have Truly Changed
Greetings in Christ:

Bro JP has been doing a grand job, filling in for me. Work has been rather busy. Thank you, Brother.

As I look back to the 1960's, a song comes to mind; a song that was the doxology of the 1960's; a song for change. The song was written by Bob Dylan, and the title of the song was, "Times They Are A Changing". The pandora's box that was opened, has spread its tentacles into all aspects of human life. We affected that that change by getting politicians and jurists into office, who would support and defend our sins. For my actions in the past, I ask forgiveness from all of you.

Our legal system is no longer based on law, but agendas that twist the law, agendas that result in judicial decisions which serve as a rule for future determinations in similar or analogous cases; an authority to be followed in courts of justice; forms of proceeding to be followed in similar cases. Our system of checks and balances is faltering. There are those who so desire to have the UN and World Court oversee our nation.

CONFITEOR Deo omnipotenti, beatae Mariae semper Virgini, beato Michaeli Archangelo, beato Ioanni Baptistae, sanctis Apostolis Petro et Paulo, et omnibus Sanctis, quia peccavi nimis cogitatione, verbo et opere: mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Ideo precor beatam Mariam semper Virginem, beatum Michaelem Archangelum, beatum Ioannem Baptistam, sanctos Apostolos Petrum et Paulum, et omnes Sanctos, orare pro me ad Dominum Deum nostrum. Amen.

The Doxology of the 1960's

Come gather round people wherever you roam
And admit that the waters around you have grown
And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth saving
Then you'd better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone
For the times, they are a changing

Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pens
And keep your eyes open, the chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon, the wheel's still in spin
And there's no telling who that it's naming
Oh the loser will be later to win
For the times, they are a changing

Come senators, congressmen, please head the call
Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt will be her that has stalled
The battle outside ragging will soon shake your windows
And rattle your hall
For the times, they are a changing

Come mothers and fathers all over this land
And don't criticize what you can't understand
Your sons and your daughter are beyond your command
Your old role is rapidly aging
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend a hand
For the times they are a changing

The line, it is drawn, the curse, it is cast
The slow one will later be fast
And the present now will soon be the past
The order is rapidly fading
The first one now will later be last
For the times, they are a changing

With this doxology in mind, reflect on the following news articles.

Study Shows Americans Not in Favor of Embryo Stem Cell Research
WASHINGTON, D.C., AUG. 24, 2004 (Zenit.org).- Despite exaggerated
recent claims about the benefits of embryonic stem cell research,
Americans strongly prefer funding research that does not require
destroying human embryos, a survey finds.

They also strongly oppose human cloning for either reproductive or
research purposes.

These are the chief findings of survey questions commissioned by the
U.S. bishops' Pro-Life Secretariat. The questions are part of a
national survey conducted by International Communications Research,
which polled more than 1,000 American adults by telephone in mid-
August.

The poll suggests that Americans are closely divided on federal
funding of stem cell research that requires destroying human
embryos, with 43% in favor and 47% opposed.

However, when given a choice between funding all stem cell research -
- both adult and embryonic -- and funding only alternatives such as
adult stem cell research to see if there is no need to destroy
embryos for research, Americans clearly prefer funding only adult
stem cell research by a margin of 61% to 23%.

Opposition to funding embryonic stem cell research is stronger among
women, low-income Americans, seniors and regular churchgoers.

The survey also shows that Americans overwhelmingly oppose the use
of human cloning to create embryos for medical research, 80% to 13%.

"Cloning embryos for their stem cells is the logical next step in
the embryonic stem cell research agenda," says Richard Doerflinger,
deputy director of the Secretariat for Pro-Life Activities.
Americans also oppose cloning to provide children to infertile
couples, 82% to 11%.

"Polls on embryonic stem cell research often fail to mention that
the research requires destroying human embryos," said Doerflinger.

"Yet this fact is essential to understanding the moral issue," he
said. "Some polls also make exaggerated claims about the
[hypothetical] medical benefits of embryonic cells, while ignoring
the documented benefits of alternative research that poses no moral
problem. No instrument for testing public opinion should mislead the
public on these crucial aspects of the issue."

ATT Blocks the World
ATT, in a fit of utter incompetence, has constructed a private email blacklist. No blacklist works, they should all be blacklisted by the Internet community, but this blacklist is one of the most incompetent.

Thousands of people are complaining that they cannot reach their friends, family, or business customers who have ATT Worldnet as a provider. Surely there will be a law suit against ATT eventually if they do not stop this.

If you have an ATT email address, perhaps you should consider changing to a new provider.
