There is Something About Obama
11:33 AM
There is something very wrong about Obama that I have not been able to put my finger upon until now. That he is a disingenuous opportunist willing to lie and hide his real agenda to get elected is obvious, but there something else.

Today I read an article by Tim Wildmon that hit the problem on the nose. Obama is a universalist.

Obama told author Cathleen Falsani: "I believe there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people."

As Wildmon points out this may be the reason Opera like Obama so much since she is the reigning Queen of the universalistic nonsense that all paths lead to God and no one path is the right way.

There is a serious danger in having a universalist as a President. As Wildmon points out, "Getting theologically consistent answers from "universalism" is like nailing Jell-O to the wall."

Christianity, and most other systems of thought, have systems of thought. In Christianity it is called "systematic theology." These systems are the intellectual building blocks upon which the faith or belief or philosophy is built. Universalism is built not upon any building blocks, but upon jello.

As Wildmon states: "What is appealing about universalism to modern-day Americans is that it is intentionally ambiguous and doesn't require any measurable commitment by the individual. One doesn't have to agree with any creed, you don't have to go to church, you don't have to abide by any particular code of conduct, and there is no objective standard for defining right or wrong or good and evil. It is all up to the individual and how he or she feels. Forget all that old-fashioned stuff about repenting of your sin and giving your life to the Lord."

To have a President with this sort of worldview is most dangerous. There are not solid standards of behavior in this worldview but what one decides for themselves, besides what is expedient for the moment. Such jello based worldview can end a civilization.

Your miserable servant,
Brother Bubba
