USCCB is Hurting the Church
ASH WEDNESDAY
+Feast of the Seven Founders of the Order of Servites (1233, Religious
+St. Flavian (449), Bishop, Martyr (TRAD)
My Beloved:
The growing scandal of the collusion of the U.S. Bishops Conference with the Democratic Party and other anti-Catholic organization with their evil agenda against life and other dogmas of the Faith, is made far worse by the dishonorable behavior of the Bishops to not speak out on this evil, this smoke of Satan, that has impregnated itself into their conference. Silence is approval.
Martin Luther King Jr. said: “We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.”
Edmund Burke said: “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good me to do nothing.”
When will the good bishops end their silence and deal with the evil and smoke amongst them?
We cannot rely on our Pastors to to the right thing. The Laity must rise up and demand that these scandals stop. Canon Law gives the laity the right to do this:
Canon 212 ß3 states:
“They have the right, indeed at times the duty, in keeping with their knowledge, competence and position, to manifest to the sacred Pastors their views on matters which concern the good of the Church. They have the right also to make their views known to others of Christís faithful, but in doing so they must always respect the integrity of faith and morals, show due reverence to the Pastors and take into account both the common good and the dignity of individuals.”
Canon 229 ß1 states:
“Lay people have the duty and the right to acquire the knowledge of Christian teaching which is appropriate to each one’s capacity and condition, so that they may be able to live according to this teaching, to proclaim it and if necessary to defend it, and may be capable of playing their part in the exercise of the apostolate.”
It is up to you, my good people of the Catholic Faithful. Bishop Fulton Sheen said in 1972: “Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people…. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops like bishops and your religious like religious.”
Here are the recent reports from RealCatholicTV:
February 11th: The “Friends” of the USCCB: A roster of liberal anti-Catholic groups
February 12th: USCCB’s Long History with the Democratic Party
February 15th: USCCB is Hurting the Church. Its Counsel to the Faithful must be kept in suspect because of its intimacy with Democrats and anti-Catholic groups
February 16th: Casting your pearls before swine is never a good thing! What does it mean to be a Catholic anyway?
Brothers and sisters, I call you to BE CATHOLIC, stand-up for the faith, and demand from our Pastors that they be the Alter Christi and the In persona Christi they are suppose to be.
I also recommend that all Catholic men and women of good will sign the petition for the USCCB to clean-up its act:
Your miserable servant,
Brother Bubba
