Comment regarding marital sex
I have always thought that the best form of birth control was and is abstinence!!!
After all, we are not animals. We are supposed to have some self control.
No, I do not hate sex or men however I am getting rather tired of all these "sexual" problems that seem to be very openly spoken about of late.
Perhaps that is why there are so many children out there who should and could be adopted but aren't.
What's wrong with abstaining for a while anyway???
With all the problems in this world, in my view lack of adorers before the Blessed Sacrament one of - if not the most important - and the other - children being raped and beaten and starving to death - why bring more INNOCENT children into this world when we can't even help the ones who are here!!!!!!
Why must little innocent children suffer????
If you could just explain that to me then maybe I could understand.
QUESTION from Grace on May 4, 2004
Because people, in wanting to fulfill "their" "needs", are forgetting the needs of others?

Dear Grace:
As for children being abused, most children are not abused. The solution is to bring people's heart to Christ, teach them parenting skills if needed, deal with poverty and other similar social problems. The solution is not to refrain from having children, but to have children and raise them up to be loyal, obedient, mature Christians who can lead the world into a better life. If we were to stop having children, in short order we would be in serious trouble. For the human race to continue children must be born. To deliberately choose to not have children is sin: 1)a couple getting married with deliberate intention to not have any children makes the marriage invalid; 2) to use contraception is a grave sin; 3) to use NFP with the intention of never having children for no morally acceptable reason is grave sin. 4) for a married couple to abstain from sex altogether with the deliberate motif of not having children is grave sin. I am reminded of the story of the man who cried to God about why God had not sent us a person who could cure cancer, or bring peace to the world, or to resolve all poverty and hunger. God responded, "Son, I have sent a person to do those things, but you aborted them." We can easily tell this story and replace the "but you aborted them" with, "but you refused to bring them into the world". Jesus said that the poor will always be with us. Sin and evil and bad people and suffering will always be with us in this life. It is not for us to play God. God is the God of life. God directs us to Life and we have no business to arrogantly rebel against His plan.
