complete office/list of readings online?
QUESTION from John on December 4, 2003

I've been reading the Bible starting with Genesis and Matthew on January 1 and finishing Malachi and Revelation on December 31. I would prefer to read along the lines of the liturgical calendar, so my question is: Is there an online source of the LotH complete enough to indicate all the readings for all the offices of each day, even if they're not the correct translation (I intend to read from my Bible, not my computer screen)? Of course at some point in the not too distant future, I intend to purchase a set of books and make this a moot point for me, but it could take a while and the new year is right around the corner.

Thanks!

Dear John:

The Universalis site (that I don't recommend due to their not using an approved translation and their flippant policy about that) can be useful for your purposes.

Office of Reading is available from them on a daily basis. It does not look like they have a list in advance, but you can check the citations daily for "todays" readings.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
