Re:Converting
Hiyas :-)
May God bless us thru our passage to the Absolute Truth.
I my self am going thru a RCIA program. Fortuantly I have his Grace and I am in a Great Church with a Gracios Priest and the Class is run by good old Catholic congregation, they move in and out of the class to give us a good spectrum of the Faith, it is not run by the Priest, but is chaired by the Perm Deacon.
We talk about the daily Lectionary, but I tend to be a deep thinker so I look for more.
I found that the book Catholic for Dummies is a great starter book. It has the whole hiarchy, Sacraments, how Roman Catholics came about, good overview of the Bible and the Gospels. This is all put in a easy to read book.
I have also found the Pilch books that are overviewing the Sundays lectionary, he goes over what the Culture was at that time, and what that verse really meant to the Authors and to Jesus of that time.
I pray she finds the light and strength.
Thanks and may Peace be with you :-)

Dear Jon: Welcome to the Church. Yes, there are many sources to which we can refer to learn about the Catholic faith in deeper and deeper ways. I would also suggest the Bible study from Scott Hahn: Click here
