Benny Hinn
Peace be in Christ,
First let me congratulate this site for the wonderful work that is being done.
I would like to know your opinion on a Pastor by name Benny Hinn.
I have often watched Benny Hinn's crusades. I have seen many people being healed, their Praise and Worship are good, but
I was wondering if it is safe to be at his Crusade.
Thanks and God Bless.

in the internet, I see a lot of sites that go against him. I have read his book "Good Morning Holy Spirit" I have found it to be a very good book.

Dear Lina: Thank you for your kind words about our work on this site. As for Benny Hinn I personally have little respect for mass audience healers. We can NEVER know for sure that anyone is healed. Just because they say they are healed doesn't make it so. Some people may have psychosomatic illnesses. These can be healed perhaps through emotional stirring. Those who appear to have physical illness and are allegedly healed may not be. We never see the doctor's report afterward. There have been many cases of faith healers who have been outright fraudulent and the so-called infirmed person who is healed is actually an actor pretending to be sick. I do not know whether Benny Hinn is one of those or not. Absent of such information I presume he is personally sincere. Nevertheless, my criticism of him is the same as it is with any mass audience healer whether he be Protestant or Catholic. Jesus and the Apostles did not put on a show. They ministered to people. I have seen Benny Hinn. He seems to talk the talk of a Christian, but I would not recommend going to his crusades. Why would one need to? Jesus is the healer. We do not need to be emotionally manipulated and worked up for God to heal. (Note: if you are Catholic then you have no business going to his crusades). I think that if these people REALLY had a healing ministry then they should be visiting hospitals and clinics where they could "heal" just as many people as they do on stage. If they are REALLY healers then why can't they heal quietly and personally without the show, without the emotional fervor, without the emotional manipulation of an audience. I also wonder if the people who are healed are given any followup counseling. Our ministry is a healing ministry and is accomplished without a show and hoopla. The healing ministry we do could not possibly be done before a mass audience because it involved real ministry and counseling to the individual, not just a wave of the hand and whamo you'll healed. At any rate, a mass audience is not necessary in real healing, but is very useful when putting on a show and needing to workup the audience emotions. Those are my thoughts anyway.
