Non-Denominational baptized christian recieving Eucharists
QUESTION from Mat on October 26, 2003

We are to going to be married in June. I would like to know if my fiance is able to recieve the eucharist during our wedding. She is a baptized non-denominational christian?

Dear Mat,

No, she is not. Communion is to be received (normally) only by practicing Catholics in the state of grace.

She may not understand why since most non-denominational Christians have VERY different ideas of what communion is.. to her it is probably just a symbol, but of course Catholics believe that it is much more.

Mr. Slavek
