Holy Water
QUESTION from Elena on June 2, 2004

Dear Brother Ignatius Mary,

Thank you for your advice. I have been following your web site for months, and I have utilized the prayers and suggestions from the Padre Pio web site. They have been a true blessing; I feel God's power when I pray them.

The final day I spoke with my ex, I asked for the pictures and the coin back. He seemed very upset--particularly when I asked for the coin. But then, he said he would give them to me, and he suggested that I come over and put three drops of Holy water (I'd given him some) under my tongue to "clear my energy." I was not raised a Catholic, and I did not yet realize the power of the blessing in Holy water; I told him that I didn't want to--that I would pray to God. He seemed desperate, urgent, and said, "Why wouldn't you want something that's sat under an altar that's been BLESSED?"

He pressured me to get in the car and put the "countercurse" (spell) on myself; then, he wanted me to come for the holy water. My boyfriend and I were not sure if there were any advantage in getting the photos back. The ex could have copied them, scanned them, and distributed them . . . and would the coin (with the spell) really be the same coin, or would he substitute another fifty yen coin . . . and I was not about to put the "holy water" (I suspect the bottle was emptied and refilled and it sat under the evil altar, possibly laden with LSD or some other drug) under my tongue.

As we were driving in the direction of his house, I felt great waves of evil rippling from his place. We decided not to pick up the items. I called and quickly said I would not be coming over. He said he was leaving town to pick up a friend who'd flown across the country (another witch, I imagine). Then, he said he would leave the items for me in his mailbox.

That was over a year ago. At that point, I did not know he was involved with covens of witches. I don't know how the rules of these things work. Is there any value, at this point, of demanding the photos back? He and I have not spoken in months; I don't want him in my life (for obvious reasons).

I burned the items he gave me, months ago, and I felt evil leaving them. He also tampered with my own things--several of which I've destroyed; others, I'm having difficulty discerning. Is it possible to perform an exorcism on my own items (that he did not give me) without destroying them? (In the case of items I'm not sure about?)

Thank you for your prayers. God bless you!

ANSWER by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM on June 4, 2004

Dear Elena:

No, there is no point after all this time to collect any items that he still has. What is more important is to stay away from him and to regularly say a prayer to break curses since he and his witch friends may do that to you from time to time.

As for any items that you believe might have been tainted by him, you can have a priest bless the items, or if that is not possible, simply bless that item with Holy Water with the following prayer:

Father in heaven please cast out any evil or demon attached to this ___________. Cleanse it from all evil and pour out your blessing + (make the sign of the cross over the item with Holy Water) on this object, for your Word suffices to make all things holy. Grant, dear Father, that anyone who uses this object with grateful heart and in keeping with your law and will, may receive from you, its Maker, health in body and protection of soul by calling on your holy name. I ask this with the intercessions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, Blessed Michael the Archangel, and all the Saints and Angels in heaven, and powerful in the Holy Name of the Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

May God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
