communion
Hello Bro. Iganatius,
Sorry if you do get bashed for your hard work in here. I know from experience that to be honnest it is not easy. One get's pretty beaten up from times to times. :-) May God have Mercy on us all.
I have a question that I am sure can help others along the way. well ok perhaps but i am sure i might not be the only one who lived this at least i hope caus ei do not want to be a fool for believing it or thingking of it.
What is your knowledge about spiritual communion, in a mistic way? How do discern such things.
I to in the charismatic mouvement have met these so called " ligh-headed" charismatics.
One time a dear friend of mine one night during a retreat wanted to buy me a communion gift. You know one that is given to a person when they do there first communion. Well that night when then prayed on me they told me that during that mass i was to recieve Jesus as i would have recived him at the age of five. I made my first communion long after that. But as a child i always wanted Jesus in my heart and recieve him in the Holy Eucharist i knew who he was without a doubt but never could because i was to young.
During that night a priest that prayed over me told me i was to recive it as if i was to recive Jesus, at the age of 5, blood and flesh and he as a priest was granting it.
Now how to analyse this???? Could you please share some lights.
thank you.

Dear Mariella: Thanks for the thought, but getting bashed is what tells me I am doing my job :) After answering the question on Healing, just before yours, I may get more than bashed. I think this bull broke all the china with that one :) Anyway..... Spiritual Communion is just a way to join with Christ in your heart and express the unity of the Catholic Faith when you cannot make it to Mass. God gives us a grace for making this devotional act. It is not the same grace as if we actually received the Eucharist, but it is a grace given for our love and devotion. I am not sure I understand your question about first communion. I do not know what the priest means that you would take communion as if it was when you were 5 years old. What does that mean? Communion is the same regardless of what age a person is when they receive for the first time. When we receive our Lord in the Eucharist we receive Him Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. That is how we receive him whether we are 5 years old or 90; whether it is our first time or the 1000th time. I guess I really do not understand what your priest was doing or why.
