intercessory prayer
First of all, I find your website very useful and informative. I've been in intercessory prayer for a childhood friend. He's married to a woman that practices voodoo and black magic. His wife has never liked me, she always thought that he had feelings for me. He and I grew up together in church.
The problem is that since he married her, he no longer goes to church and is out of fellowship with God. Since I've been in prayer for him. I've had some satanic attacks. Such as thoughts of suicide, bouts of depression and feelings of defeat and despair (like God's not listening to my prayers and that I'm wasting my time praying for him). His wife bragged to some of "her" friends that she put a spell on him and me and that it could never be broken.
My question is what do I do? I'm in intercessory prayer. But, I'm still feeling depression and having thoughts of suicide. And I don't understand how she knows I'm in prayer for him? Should I stay in prayer for my friend? How long should I stay in prayer? Is it possible for her to put a "spell" on both of us that can't be broken, not even with prayer? Please answer my questions. Dear Faith: I am sorry this has happened to your friend. You need to pray for him as long as you live. Persevere in prayer. Pray the Hedge Prayer that is included in the Spirit Warfare Prayer Catalog linked below. Pray the prayer in the Catalog that is for a Friend or others to be free from demonic influences. This needs to be prayed for your friend's wife also. For yourself, pray the Hedge Prayer of Protection. Also pray the prayer to Break Curses. I would recommend you pray these daily. If you find that you need additional help, we hope to have our Counseling Services operational again around June 1st. We will be in prayer for both you and your friend, and also for your friend's wife.
