Dear Erika: There is nothing wrong with watching a movie with your favorite actor per se. The problems arise when: 1) the movie is an occasion for sin (lewd, nudity, sexual situations); 2) the movie is harmful (immorality promoted) 3) our attraction to an actor that causes an occasion to sin (lust) If you can watch the movies without indulging and ruminating in lust for the actor, then perhaps there is not a problem. But if you cannot watch this actor without getting "hot and bothered" then the best part of prudence would be to deny yourself the pleasure of watching those movies. The Bible tells us to guard our senses. What we allow into our brains through movies, TV, music, etc. DOES MATTER. If we fill our imaginations with improper images and music and thoughts, the Devil can use those images to wreck havoc with our imaginations. Thus, take care what you allow into your senses.
