Eating Disorders Aided by the Demonic
While looking at a pro-anorexia website I stumbled across a section devoted to summoning a demon that supposedly aids in achieving "perfection" by way of anorexia. An entire ritual is outlined, and the term Magick is used to describe the ritual. Is it possible that some people suffering from eating disorders are being tempted into them by the proddings of bothersome demons? If this is the case would it be prudent to pray some of the prayers in the Spiritual Warfare Catalogue for someone (or one's self) who is prone to disordered eating?

Dear Jessica: For those persons who are calling up demons to help them to become anorexic are obviously in bondage to the devil -- as are anyone conjuring demon for whatever reasons. For the vast majority, however, anorexia is a psychiatric condition that needs to be treated by physicians and psychiatrists. This does not mean, however, that a demonic element cannot be present. Demons love to "hitchhike" on our problems to make them worse than they would be otherwise. As such the demons do not cause the problem, they only take advantage of the problem. Because of this possibility it is always prudent to pray Spiritual Warfare Prayers for people with anorexia and other similar conditions. Maybe a demonic presence is there, maybe not; it does not matter since the prayer is beneficial either way. This advice is generally true. The beauty of spiritual warfare prayers is that we do not have to know for sure of a demonic presence; we can pray "as if" there might be a demonic presence. The prayer is beneficial to the person anyway regardless.
