Can Satan control weather?
My friend Jenny believes that Satan can control the weather. For

example, we have a friend who is going on a pilgrimage soon. However,
there's a storm brewing where this friend lives. Jenny believes that
Satan is possibly behind this storm to keep our friend from going on this
spiritual pilgrimage. I disagree and told her that Satan does not have
this power. Please enlighten us on this topic. Thank you very much.

Dear Teresa: Yes, it is possible for the devil to manipulate the weather. It is within the power of angels (and the devil is an angel, a fallen one) to manipulate the material world. This phenomena is rare, however, and more likely to manifest itself in localized situations or even more often in narrow specific circumstances (such as cold wind blowing open a window in a house, or a sudden gust of wind as one opens the door to leave a house, etc.). It would be very rare to see entire weather systems manipulated.
